The MTC is probably way boring and original to hear about. There aren't much things to take pictures of. But I'm loving it.
I love personal study and language study time the most. I have learned so much this week, specifically about Jesus Christ, Repentance, the Atonement, and the 2nd Coming.
Whenever I get tired of my reading from beginning to end, I will flip my Book of Mormon to a random page and read from there. I have received so much goodness, knowledge, and inspiration from doing this. The main focus of every scripture I turn to is Christ.
My testimony has grown so much. Through the Book of Mormon, I have learned more the importance of these things. Praying, and doing everything in the name of Jesus Christ is so important. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are taught that we can do anything. I have actually exercised this promise and I promise you that it is very real.
3 Nephi 27:9 says: 'Therefore if ye call upon the Father...if it be in my name the Father will hear you.'
Verse 28 : 'And verily I say unto you, whatsoever things ye shall ask the Father in my name shall be given unto you.'
28:11 'And the Father giveth the Holy Ghost unto the children of men, because of me.'
Just a few examples of the many scriptures I have read and pondered on the subject.
I have realized more of how amazing the sacrifice Jesus Christ offered us. Being surrounded by the spirit gives me so much opportunity to ponder Holy things. Christ literally did EVERything for us. All he asks is that we have faith, and to repent if we sin. Imagine how it must feel doing the greatest deed ever done for people, and most of them do not even recognize what he did. I know I would be pretty sad, but instead of being sad, Christ only does more for everyone.
Oh boy I just love it here. I love how developed and sure my faith has come and how much more it can and may be.
The best way we can thank Jesus Christ, is by bringing others unto him.
As said in the scriptures: 'If ye are in the service of your fellow being, ye are in the service of your God.'
Missionary Work is amazing, and I am honored to be a part of it. I have definitely felt Christ with me as I wear His name (in Thai) on me. He deserves so much more from everyone.
Happy Birthday Emily! I love and miss you. Keep being the lovely woman you are.
Thank you for the care packages so much. They have for sure helped me survive and even some of the other Elders.
Not trying to be selfish but I kind of need a few more notebooks (like the big lined paper colored ones), melatonin, a few more pairs of socks, and I think that is it. I'm probably missing a lot that was on my mind to share, but just know that I really cherish this time being able to talk to my family.
Thanks for all you do. I don't think there is a better support group in the world than my own family. I love talking about you and remembering all we have together. I'm serving my mission for you.
I love you
